Who are Creatio? CRM and AI Vendor Profile

Creatio is a CRM and workflow automation vendor whose platform lets business teams build applications, processes and, more recently, AI agents without writing code. It competes for front-office budgets against some of the largest names in enterprise software, but with a noticeably different approach to licensing and who gets to change the system once it is live. For IT leaders looking at a CRM replacement, or for a faster way to automate customer-facing processes, Creatio now appears on far more Viewpoint Analysis shortlists than it did a few years ago, and the company is investing heavily in a dedicated offering for banks and credit unions.
Viewpoint Analysis is a Technology Matchmaker, helping businesses to quickly find and select new enterprise technology. Our aim is to be the place enterprise buyers go to understand the software and technology market before speaking to vendors. Read on to learn more about Creatio.
Who Are Creatio?
Creatio was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with Katherine Kostereva as CEO. The company describes itself as a global vendor of an agentic CRM and workflow platform built around no-code tools and AI, and says its platform serves thousands of customers in more than 100 countries. Most implementation work is delivered through a network of partners, which in practice means buyers usually deal with both Creatio and a systems integrator during a project.
In June 2024, the company raised $200 million at a reported valuation of $1.2 billion, with Sapphire Ventures, StepStone Group, Volition Capital and Horizon Capital among the investors. That funding has gone into product development and expansion, and the business has been building out industry-specific offerings, particularly in financial services, alongside its core CRM applications.
Today Creatio positions itself around two ideas. The first is that business users, rather than developers alone, should be able to build and change the workflows they rely on. The second is what it calls Unlimited Enterprise, a licensing model that removes limits on users, AI agents, workflows, applications, custom objects, and API calls. Both are aimed squarely at the cost and rigidity that many organisations experience with their existing CRM estate.
What Does Creatio Do?
Creatio sells two things that are closely tied together. The first is a set of CRM applications covering sales, marketing and customer service. The second is the no-code platform those applications are built on, which customers can use to extend the CRM or to build separate applications and processes of their own. Because everything sits on the same platform, a bank that starts with a customer service rollout can later add onboarding or lending workflows without introducing another tool.
The problem Creatio is aiming at is a familiar one. Many organisations run a CRM that needs specialist developer time for even modest changes, so process improvements queue up behind a backlog. Creatio's visual designers allow business analysts and process owners to change data models, page layouts and workflows directly, within governance controls set by IT. UK home services group Sureserve, for example, reports that it can now make workflow and data model changes in minutes. If you are reviewing the wider market, our CRM Technology page covers the main categories and vendors - and our two Software Options reports across this sector include our CRM Software Options and our Low Code No Code Software Options.
AI is now the main thread running through the product. Creatio AI is built into the sales, marketing and service applications, and AI Twin lets individual sellers set up personal AI agents without technical skills. The July 2026 "10x" release added Creatio AI Studio, a single environment for designing, deploying, monitoring and governing AI agents, with separate designers for prompt-based agents, multi-step workflow agents and agents that call on coding tools. It also added observability features that let teams audit agent decisions and apply approval policies, and channel support so agents can work across chat, voice, messaging and web.
Financial services is now Creatio's biggest bet. In October 2026 the company committed $300 million through 2028 to Creatio Bank.AI, its offering for banks and credit unions, and reported that its financial services business grew 48% year on year. Bank.AI brings together the AI CRM, AI Studio and a set of prebuilt banking agents organised around three themes: Grow (referrals, renewals and retention), Serve (account servicing and customer resolution) and Operate (onboarding, loan preparation, loan servicing and compliance). Creatio says each prebuilt agent takes around ten weeks to deploy and connects to existing systems without a core banking upgrade. Named financial services customers include Metro Bank, Nasdaq, MetLife, OTP Bank and CEC Bank, and Bank.AI sits alongside Creatio's established banking editions (Bank Customer Journey, Bank Sales, Lending and Marketing).
Outside banking, Creatio offers manufacturing workflows such as field visit agents for sales teams, and the no-code platform is used well beyond CRM, including case management and operations in the public sector and property services. Buyers should ask for live demonstrations against their own scenarios, because the gap between released features and roadmap items moves quickly in this part of the market, and it is worth modelling the Unlimited Enterprise pricing against a conventional per-seat quote over a full contract term.
Why is Creatio in so many Viewpoint Analysis Longlists and Shortlists?
Creatio features in a number of our Software Options and invariably is one of the most common vendors appearing in our Longlist and Shortlists and recommended by HUEY our AI Matchmaker Agent. Why? They have a broad offering and sit at the intersection of key market trends. They started in the low-code-no-code area, moved into CRM, and are now in AI - all three have had a dramatic impact on technology over the past 5 to 10 years.

Creatio Alternatives
Creatio competes in three overlapping markets: enterprise CRM, low-code and no-code application and workflow platforms, and banking-specific customer engagement software. Which competitors matter most depends on whether your project is about front office applications, wider process automation, or a banking programme, so we have grouped the main alternatives below.
You can add any of the vendors below to your shortlist of options by clicking the button. To add Creatio, use the button below:
CRM suites. These are the vendors Creatio meets most often in sales, marketing and service evaluations.
• Salesforce. The largest CRM vendor and the default comparison in most evaluations. Salesforce has a deeper ecosystem and a wider range of clouds and add-ons, while Creatio typically competes on total cost, speed of change by business users and its unlimited licensing model.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365. A strong option for organisations already committed to Microsoft 365 and Azure. The comparison often comes down to licensing, partner capability and how much of the Microsoft stack a buyer already owns.
• HubSpot. Popular with mid-market businesses for marketing and sales, with a reputation for ease of use. HubSpot is less suited to complex, regulated process automation, which is where Creatio usually separates itself.
• Zoho CRM. A lower-cost suite with a broad range of business applications. Zoho competes on price and breadth, while Creatio tends to win where workflow depth and industry content matter more.
Low-code and workflow platforms. Where the project is more about building applications and automating processes than about CRM, Creatio Studio and AI Studio are compared with these platforms.
• ServiceNow. Increasingly present in customer service and workflow deals, especially where IT already runs ServiceNow. It is a heavier platform aimed at large enterprises, and Creatio tends to be the lighter, business-led alternative.
• Microsoft Power Platform. Power Apps and Power Automate are often already licensed through Microsoft 365, which makes them a natural comparison. Creatio's argument is that it ships with ready-made CRM data models and processes rather than starting from a blank canvas.
• OutSystems and Mendix. Both are established low-code platforms aimed at professional developers building custom applications at scale. They suit organisations with in-house development teams, whereas Creatio is pitched more at business analysts and process owners.
• Appian. Appian focuses on process automation and case management, with strong adoption in public sector and regulated industries. It overlaps with Creatio on workflow and case handling, though it has a lighter CRM offering.
Banking and financial services. With Bank.AI, Creatio is now competing against banking specialists as well as the financial services editions of the large suites.
• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. Salesforce's banking, wealth and insurance edition, now with Agentforce AI agents for financial services. It is the most direct like-for-like competitor to Bank.AI.
• Pegasystems. Pega is strong in complex case management, customer decisioning and onboarding in banking and insurance. Pega projects are usually larger and more developer-led than Creatio deployments.
• Backbase. A banking engagement platform covering digital channels, onboarding and relationship management. It is often considered by banks modernising the customer-facing layer above their core systems.
• nCino. A banking platform with deep roots in commercial and retail loan origination. It overlaps most with Creatio's lending edition and loan agents.

Creatio Customer Examples
Creatio publishes a large number of customer stories, with a strong showing from financial services, manufacturing and the public sector. The four examples below, all taken from Creatio's own website, give a sense of the range of organisations using the platform and the problems they are applying it to.
• Sureserve. A UK home services group providing heating, compliance and energy efficiency services to housing associations, local authorities and private landlords. Sureserve uses Creatio to centralise property and service data, confirm and change resident appointments across multiple channels, and manage field operations for around 4,000 engineers, with plans to use AI for remote diagnostics before an engineer is sent out.
• Dunapack Packaging. A corrugated packaging manufacturer and part of Austria's Prinzhorn Group. Dunapack has standardised lead management, customer data and pipeline visibility on Creatio across 15 sales organisations in 10 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, reporting user adoption above 70% within three months of go-live.
• PSI Software. An industrial software provider serving energy, manufacturing, logistics and infrastructure operators. PSI chose Creatio as the base for a company-wide sales programme, aiming for consistent selling methods and cleaner data across business units, and reports going live around four times faster than with its previous CRM provider.
• G&T Continental. One of Guatemala's leading financial institutions. The bank uses Creatio to standardise and automate end-to-end workflows across its enterprise banking operations, and reports that around 80% of execution has moved to digital processes.
