Replacing Salesloft - Alternative Options

Salesloft Alternatives

Salesloft is one of the best-known sales engagement platforms on the market, used by sales development and account teams to run cadences, calls, and emails at scale, and it has expanded into forecasting, deal management, and conversation intelligence in recent years. In December 2025 it completed its merger with Clari, the revenue intelligence vendor, and the combined business is now building what it calls a predictive revenue system under a new CEO. For many customers that is a positive direction, but for others the merger, a significant 2025 security incident linked to the Drift integration, and changes in how sales teams prospect with AI have prompted a fresh look at the market.

Viewpoint Analysis is a Technology Matchmaker, helping businesses to quickly find and select new enterprise technology. This report looks plainly at why organisations consider replacing Salesloft, whether switching is the right call, and the credible alternatives worth considering.

The Reasons Businesses Switch from Salesloft

An increasingly common topic across social media and message boards is whether there are better alternatives to Salesloft. As a key player in the market, it's normal for businesses to look at Salesloft alternatives - sometimes because they are really going to move, but other times, it's just a topic that they might keep coming back to without making the big move. Here are the key reasons that we see teams moving away or consiering a change:

A changing prospecting model. AI-native outbound platforms combine contact data, AI research, message writing and sending in one product, and some teams now run outbound with far fewer people. Where the prospecting model has changed, a platform built around large SDR teams working structured cadences may no longer be the right fit.

Uncertainty after the Clari merger. Salesloft and Clari completed their merger in December 2025, and the combined company is now bringing two product sets, and the previously acquired Groove product, together. Integration of this kind takes time, and some customers are wary of committing to a longer renewal before they know how products, logins and packaging will settle. Teams that only want sales engagement may also be concerned about being steered towards a broader bundle.

Cost and seat-based pricing. Salesloft is priced per user and does not publish list prices, so costs are negotiated and often rise as modules are added. As sales development teams shrink or change shape because of AI-assisted prospecting, paying for a full enterprise engagement platform per seat is harder to justify. Finance and revenue operations leaders increasingly ask whether the same results could be achieved for less.

Platform consolidation. Salesforce and HubSpot have both added native sequencing and sales engagement features, and conversation intelligence vendors now offer engagement tools of their own. Organisations looking to reduce the number of tools in their revenue stack often find that capability they already pay for covers most of what their reps use in Salesloft.

Should You Switch from Salesloft?

Replacing a sales engagement platform is a bigger job than it first appears. Cadences, templates, call recordings, reporting, CRM field mappings and rep habits are all built around the current tool, and a poorly handled migration can cost a quarter's worth of pipeline. In many cases, renegotiating or reconfiguring Salesloft will be cheaper and less disruptive than moving. Before committing to a change, it is worth asking some honest questions.

  • Are the problems you are experiencing genuine platform limitations, or are they gaps in configuration, adoption or training that could be fixed?

  • Is there real consensus across sales, revenue operations, security and finance that a change is needed, or is the push coming from a small number of voices?

  • What would a switch really cost once you include migration, retraining, lost productivity and the risk to pipeline during the changeover?

  • Is your concern about Salesloft itself, or about uncertainty that may resolve once the Clari integration is further along?

  • Could the capabilities you rely on be covered by your CRM or another platform you already pay for?

And finally, if you raised your concerns with Salesloft directly, would they work hard to keep your business?

None of these questions is designed to talk you out of switching. Working through them honestly will strengthen your case if you do decide to move, and give you a stronger negotiating position with Salesloft if you decide to stay.

Stick or Switch Application Review

Viewpoint Analysis offers an independent Stick or Switch Application Review to help you and your team decide whether to stick with your existing solution (in this case Salesloft) or move to consider an alternative. We run two workstreams in parallel:

1.     We look at the current Salesloft situation and the options to improve it. We interview your team, collate the feedback, and then approach the Salesloft team to ask for help.

2.     Whilst we look at the current situation, we also run a beauty parade of the alternative options, bringing the leading vendors in to present how they would handle your specific sales motion and requirements.

The Best Salesloft Alternatives in 2026

The alternatives below are not ranked. The right choice depends on your CRM, the size and shape of your sales team, how you prospect, and how much of your revenue stack you want in one place.

Dedicated Sales Engagement Platforms

Outreach is Salesloft's longest-standing direct rival and the most like-for-like replacement for organisations that want to keep a dedicated sales engagement platform. It covers sequences, calling, email, deal management, forecasting and conversation intelligence, with AI agents added across research, prospecting and deal work. Its main appeal for Salesloft customers is continuity of approach from an independent vendor with a stable product roadmap. It suits mid-sized and large sales organisations running structured, high-volume outbound and account-based selling.

Gong Engage is the sales engagement product within Gong's revenue platform, built on the same conversation and deal data that underpins Gong's revenue intelligence. It lets reps run sequences and prioritise accounts using signals drawn from calls, emails and deal activity. For Salesloft customers already using Gong for conversation intelligence, it offers a way to consolidate engagement and intelligence with one vendor. It suits sales teams that see call and deal insight as the centre of their revenue process.

CRM-Native Sales Engagement

Salesforce Sales Engagement brings cadences, work queues, email and calling directly into Salesforce Sales Cloud, with AI support from Salesforce's Agentforce capabilities. Because it runs inside the CRM, there is no separate integration to secure or maintain, which is an important consideration for organisations reviewing third-party access after the Drift incident. It may be available through existing Salesforce licensing or as an add-on. It suits Salesforce-centric organisations that want fewer tools and are comfortable with a CRM-native feature set.

HubSpot Sales Hub combines CRM, sequences, calling, meeting scheduling and AI assistance through HubSpot's Breeze tools on a single platform. Its main differentiator is that marketing, sales and service share one database, so engagement activity and customer data sit together without a connector. Pricing is published and generally easier to forecast than enterprise engagement platforms. It suits small and mid-sized businesses, and business units of larger companies, that are already on HubSpot or considering it.

AI-Native and Outbound-Focused Platforms

Apollo.io combines a large B2B contact and company database with sequencing, calling, email and AI-assisted research and writing in one product. Its differentiator is having data and engagement together, which removes the need for a separate data provider for many teams. It is priced to be accessible, including a free tier, and scales from individuals to larger sales teams. It suits growing businesses and outbound-led teams that want data, engagement and AI in one tool.

Reply.io is a multichannel sales engagement platform covering email, LinkedIn, calls and messaging, with an AI SDR agent that can research prospects, write messages and handle replies. It offers a lighter, more affordable alternative to enterprise engagement platforms, with a strong focus on automation. It suits small and mid-sized sales teams and agencies that want to run more outbound with fewer people.

Instantly is focused on high-volume cold email, with strong tooling for sending across multiple inboxes, deliverability management and warm-up, plus a lead database and AI support for writing and reply handling. It is much narrower than Salesloft, but very cost effective for teams whose outbound is primarily email. It suits start-ups, lean growth teams and agencies running email-led prospecting at scale.

This is not an exhaustive market map. It is worth reviewing the Sales AI Software Options 2026 guide, which covers sales engagement alongside conversation intelligence, revenue intelligence, coaching and prospecting tools in detail.

How to Evaluate Salesloft Alternatives

The quality of your evaluation process will have more impact on the outcome than which platforms you include in the shortlist. We recommend five steps.

Define the Problem Statement. Write a clear problem statement: a concise description of what is not working with Salesloft today, why it matters, what happens if nothing changes, and what a good result looks like. This aligns sales, revenue operations, security and finance, and forms the basis of your RFP.

Run a Fast Market Assessment. Our Technology Matchmaker service lets you understand the market before committing to a formal selection. We write a vendor-friendly description of your challenge, approach the relevant sales engagement vendors, and host presentations where each vendor shows how they would handle your sales motion. It is a fast, low-commitment way to test whether the alternatives genuinely offer something better than Salesloft before you invest in a full procurement process.

Shortlist Tightly. Keep the shortlist short. We recommend a maximum of four or five vendors for the formal evaluation stage. Beyond that number the process becomes difficult to manage and vendor fatigue sets in on both sides.

Run a Rapid RFP. Our Rapid RFP process takes the shortlist through to preferred vendor selection, managing the RFP document, vendor qualification calls, Q&A and presentations. For sales engagement, make sure the RFP covers CRM integration and security, data migration of cadences and activity history, deliverability, AI governance and total cost at your expected seat count.

Score and Decide. Use structured scoring against your agreed requirements, combining the team's qualitative assessments with documented vendor responses. The result is a documented, defensible decision that stands up to scrutiny from finance and leadership.

For organisations that want to move quickly, the 30-Day Technology Selection combines the best of the Rapid RFI and Rapid RFP into a single month-long engagement, and the Enterprise Software Selection Playbook 2026 sets out how to review the market and run a professional evaluation in more detail.

Concluding Comments

Salesloft is a leading sales engagement platform, but it is not always right for every company, or it might just be time for a change. Software vendors win customers and they lose them, it is how their business operates each and every year. The key thing is to be sure that making a change is going to be the best decision for your sales team and your company.
